Scientific opinion on climate change vs. Public Opinion on Climate Change

Scientific opinion on climate change [shows] an increasing body of observations gives a collective picture of a warming world and other changes in the climate system… There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities…No scientific body of national or international standing has maintained a dissenting opinion.

Public opinion on climate change is the aggregate of attitudes or beliefs held by the adult population concerning the science, economics, and politics of global warming. It is affected by media coverage of climate change.  In the U.S. while 97% are aware of climate change, only 49% see it as caused by human activities and only 63% see it as a threat.
